Our client, Australia's leading ice Manufacturer & Distibutor, is seeking a Senior Maintenance Fitter for their site at Prospect.
Reporting to the State Operations Manager you will be responsible for the overall maintenance of the plant.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Fitter to step up into a Supervisor position.
Third year apprentices will also be considered.
This permanent role is based in Prospect and the hours are Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 2:00pm.
All training will be provided.
Duties will include but not be limited to: Taking responsibility for the day-to-day mechanical serviceability of the production line to ensure downtime is kept to a minimum Undertaking maintenance works for all other areas of the plant as required Organising preventative maintenance programs with the State Operations Manager Performing maintenance shut downs in a timely manner and record all maintenances both planned and unplanned stoppages Participating as required in projects and modifications to improve machinery efficiency and reliability.
Practising due diligence and sound judgement in determining when contractors are required and supervise them while on site to ensure compliance with safety requirements and minimum disruption to site activities Ordering spare parts and stock control To be conisdered for this role you will need to possess the following: Experience in packaging machinery, conveying systems, palletising systems, robotics and pneumatics Trade qualification with a minimum of 2 years' experience as a maintenance fitter within a food or beverage FMCG manufacturing environment Understanding of HACCP and food safety standards A positive outlook and good attitude Safety conscious and good housekeeping skills Be a vital team player but also be confident to work autonomously Refrigeration experience is advantageous Consultant Melissa Allison Reference number: 200475644_172731458701256 Profession:Trades & ServicesFitting & Welding Company: National Workforce Date posted: 26th Sep, 2024
