Join this South Windsor team as an experienced Industrial Maintenance fitter, reporting directly to the Maintenance and Facilities Manager. In this role, you'll be instrumental in delivering top-notch breakdown and preventative maintenance services to our manufacturing facility. Collaborating closely with maintenance and production teams, you'll drive plant reliability enhancements and support efficiency improvements in our dynamic manufacturing environment. As a Maintenance Fitter, your responsibilities are: Perform breakdown repairs using fault diagnosis techniques to minimize downtime. Identify and suggest improvements to plant and equipment to enhance efficiency, yield, and safety. Enhance system reliability through preventive maintenance measures. Collaborate in cross-functional projects to assist engineering in plant modifications or new installations. Engage in Continuous Improvement initiatives and 5S practices. Offer solutions to production challenges regarding plant throughput. Maintain up-to-date maintenance records. Essential requirements for these roles include: Trade qualifications as a Mechanical Fitter (dual trade highly regarded). A minimum of 5 years' experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment. A strong commitment to EHS principles. Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal). Computer literacy and the ability to interpret drawings. Exposure to or experience with Lean and Six Sigma principles. Exposure to robotic systems (desirable but not essential).
