Managed by Yancoal, Cameby Downs is a small open cut thermal coal mine in the Surat Basin in southern Queensland, between Chinchilla and Miles.
We employ approximately 200 people, and aim to support our local communities.
Job Tasks and Responsibilities The Maintenance Fitter will carry out maintenance, repairs and servicing on mobile equipment as per OEM specifications in a safe and efficient manner, and in accordance with Cameby Downs Mine and Yancoal procedures and policies.
Promote and maintain compliance with the Cameby Downs Safety & Health Management System and associated legislative requirements Promote and maintain compliance with the Cameby Downs Environmental Management System and Environmental approvals Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, servicing, and repairs on plant and equipment, in accordance with specified drawings, manufacturer's instructions and good engineering practice.
Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with plant and equipment Provide accurate and timely reporting and information regarding defects, repairs and maintenance Document changes to any set points, operational and maintenance issues in the appropriate logs Perform regular plant and equipment inspections Foster respectful and productive working relationships Skills and Experience The successful candidate will display the Yancoal 'Our Way' Behaviours in everyday practice and foster a 'One Team' culture.
