Discover the Opportunity The Maintenance fitters are responsible for all repairs, installations and maintenance of machinery and equipment across our Wodonga site.
We have Day Shift and Afternoon positions.
The maintenance fitters work on: Breakdowns: running repairs and troubleshooting of issues as they occur throughout the day Shutdowns: planned shutdowns of machines and equipment for servicing.
This will include: The timely action and satisfactory completion of machine breakdowns.
The timely action and satisfactory completion of PM work as directed.
Provide technical support to the Maintenance and Production teams.
Follow safe work practices at all times.
Adherence to Opal values, procedures, and policies.
Play a key role within a team focused on the development and execution of efficient preventative maintenance practices on the site.
Assist with ordering components from external suppliers as necessary with appropriate approval.
Respond to specific requests regarding the details of repair and/or maintenance to equipment on a technical basis.
Provide reasonable support outside of normal working hours if required.
Use and comply with the site requirements of the CMMS.
The successful candidate will have the ability to demonstrate strong fault-finding and communication skills and have the ability to problem-solve and show initiative.
To be successful in this role, you must be a keen, energetic individual who has a good eye for detail, a hard-working ethic, and the willingness to learn.
