We have a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Fitter to join the Reliability team based at our Bentley site in Perth, 20 mins drive from the Perth CBD!Here at Bentley, we manufacture and distribute a range of milk and milk-based products, made with fresh milk sourced direct from over 30 farms in the Albany, Harvey and Northcliffe regions of south-western WA. The site currently manufactures in excess of 70 million litres a year including the state's number one flavoured milk product - Masters!The Maintenance Fitter will report to the Reliability Team Leader and will be responsible for ensuring all factory maintenance and service functions are carried out in an effective, efficient and timely manner. We are looking for someone who has experience in FMCG or food manufacturing, but can be open to other backgrounds.This position's roster will be comprised of four days on (2 day shift, 2 night shift) then four days off. All shifts are 12- hour shifts. Super competitive hourly rate as outlined in the EBA agreemwnt as well as free milk to take home!Key responsibilities of the role:Primary responsibility for providing Engineering support to the siteEntering all completed tasks and booking our spare parts in our maintenance systemEnsuring all work meets Engineering standardsSupport all Manufacturing Development programs and related activities and initiatives, e.g. Focus Improvement Project, 5S, TeamworkAll work to be completed in line with food safety requirementsSupport New Product Development activitiesResponsible for engineering support to standards and expectationsAbout youCertificate III in Engineering - mechanical and/or electrical tradeCommitment to making safety a priority and leading a safety-first culture within the reliability teams and across the siteActively participate in the Bega people processesContribute to a culture that is constructive, professional, supportive of one another and with a customer service focusA broad understanding of processing and packaging in FMCG industryIntermediate knowledge of electrical control and instrumentationThe Bega StoryBega Group is home to many trusted and iconic food and beverage brands.
