About the role:
As a Maintenance Fitter you will be responsible for safely undertaking maintenance and repairs of plant equipment in line with maintenance schedules to minimise plant downtime. As well as preventative and breakdown maintenance duties may include participating in minor improvement projects and leading external contractors.
Key responsibilities: Ensure a safe work spaceHelp to plan and participate in preventative maintenance, installations and shut downsApply fault finding techniques to identify and address problems with machinery, equipment, or partsAssist with recording and updating technical information, drawings, specifications for modifications, upgrades or changes to plantManage the effectiveness, performance and outcomes of contractors by providing positive and clear directionAssist with reviewing and updating work procedures and instructionsYour experience: Trade certificate in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Boilermaker Fabrication3+ years' experience fault-finding and carrying out preventative maintenance within heavy industrial plantsKnowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and PLCsAdvanced knowledge of engineering fabricationBenefits: A wide variety of training and development opportunitiesMentorship from a Manager well versed in the equipment and proceduresOvertime opportunitiesDay shiftJoining a leader in their fieldHow to Apply
