This is a fantastic opportunity to join the PACT Group Contract Manufacturing Division as a Maintenance Fitter. The duties for the role include playing a lead role in all day-to-day operations, being flexible to work in Day and Afternoon shifts, maintaining the safety requirements of the site; diagnosing, maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment, networks and systems; installing, testing and adjusting mechanical, pneumatic, vacuum, hydraulic and automation parts of equipment.
Your key responsibilities will be to: Be flexible to work in Day and Afternoon shiftsMaintain the safety requirements of the siteEnsure safety lockouts are performed correctlyTrain and coach staff membersEnsure safety and control measures are maintainedDiagnose faultsCoordinate installation workLiaise with onsite contractorsWork within budgetAssist in installing, testing, and commissioning machineryDiagnose, maintain and repair mechanical equipment, networks and systemsRead engineering drawings, basic electrical diagrams and specifications to determine job requirements, plans, measures and lays out installation reference pointsSelect, cut and connect wire and cable to terminals and connectors; use electrical and electronic test instruments to trace and diagnose faults; repair or replace faulty wiring and defective partsPosition and install electrical switchboardsInstall, test and adjust mechanical, pneumatic, vacuum, hydraulic and automation parts of equipmentCommunicate with professional engineers and other vendorsYour skills and experience At least five years' experience in Pharmaceutical, Cosmetic, Food, Beverage, Chemical, Packaging or other FMCG industriesExperience with fault finding, root cause analysis, machine setup and installations is essentialDemonstrated experience in CMMS, SAP, permits, isolations and change management systemsProject installation work highly desirableTechnical hands-on ability in factory automation solutions with the application know-how necessary to create and maintain special purpose machinery, production control and plant-wide general maintenance for equipment reliabilityQualificationsTrade qualified in Mechanical FitterRelevant training courses an advantage – GMP, Quality, OH&S, 5S, Lean ManufacturingCertificate in Industrial HydraulicsAdditional InformationAbout us Our vision is to lead the circular economy through packaging, reuse and recycling solutions.
