As part of a collaborative and supportive team, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing fixed and mobile plant equipment. What You Will Be Doing: Carry out efficient repairs: Execute timely and effective repairs on fixed and mobile plant equipment Inspect and test machinery: Conduct thorough visual inspections and testing of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with the team: Liaise with quarry workers and SSE (Site Safety and Environment) to prioritize work, respond to breakdown calls, and coordinate daily tasks effectively. Set up and operate machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machines for repairing or fabricating machine parts. Conduct regular maintenance operations as assigned, solving operational problems and organizing work efficiently What You Will Need: Skills Demonstrated competency in plant machinery repairs, emphasizing experience in the Quarry industry. Strong organizational, time management, and analytical skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with a flexible and innovative approach to work. Experience Comprehensive understanding of plant maintenance and repair, with proficiency in plant technology. Desirable working knowledge of the concrete, quarry, and construction industry. Qualifications Minimum trade certificate as a mechanical fitter.
