About the role
We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join our dynamic maintenance team based in Somersby NSW. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be working rotating shifts: day, afternoon, and night shift.
In this role you will: Carry out preventative, breakdown, and shutdown maintenance on all mechanical equipment within the factory Work closely with the maintenance team to analyze performance issues and develop and implement strategies for improvement in production and efficiency Fault find and troubleshoot to limit downtime and improve the operational effectiveness of the factory Assist in ensuring regular maintenance programs are carried out in accordance with the maintenance plans, and to the correct standard Ensure all relevant procedures & safe work method statements are filled out before maintenance tasks commence Help develop AFPP's and PM's Follow all site safety procedures What you bring to the role: Mechanical trade license or similar (Boilermaker, Plant mechanic, HV Diesel Mechanic) with previous experience as a Fitter within a manufacturing environment Previous exposure within industrial manufacturing with routine & breakdown experience Confined space & WAH - preferred Strong safety focus SAP maintenance system proficiency First Aid, Forklift, and Elevated Work Platform certifications Excellent communication skills both verbal and written A hands-on attitude, strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work both autonomously & as part of a team What we offer:
