Job Opportunity: Maintenance Fitter Are you a skilled fitter looking for your next challenge?
Our client, a leading player in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Fitter to join their dynamic team in Wodonga.
About the Role This pivotal position involves undertaking scheduled and breakdown maintenance, preventative tasks, and project work to ensure optimal operation of plant equipment.
As a Maintenance Fitter, you will contribute to enhancing reliability, efficiency, and safety while meeting industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance with a high degree of craftsmanship.
Maximise equipment availability and reliability through effective maintenance techniques.
Assist in planning and scheduling maintenance activities using the MEX system.
Contribute to plant improvements, equipment selection, and project supervision.
Identify and propose improvements to enhance equipment reliability.
Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
Participate in the development of maintenance procedures and work instructions.
About You The ideal candidate will have: A formal trade qualification in a mechanical field.
3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred but not mandatory).
Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and use precision measuring equipment.
Understanding of ISO9000 Quality Management Systems.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
