Maintenance Fitter - Day Shift And Afternoon Shift

Yumi's Quality Foods Maintenance Fitter This role will be working with the maintenance team in preventive maintenance, work closely with production and provide immediate maintenance support to fix breakdowns.   
Key Responsibilities: Understand, support, work with the maintenance team in accordance with mandatory requirements of Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.Responsible for the safety of all that is impacted by any maintenance activity.Perform scheduled planned preventative maintenance to minimize unplanned downtime.Understand and raise the required maintenance tools, equipment and spare parts.Fix breakdowns of plant and production equipment as soon as possible.Attend breakdowns, identifying root cause and countermeasures to eliminate recurring issues.Root cause analysis of breakdowns and develop countermeasures with the maintenance team to come up with improvements and/or suggestions to the equipment.Completion of required work permits and safety procedures whenever necessary.Provide assistance in risk assessments if necessary.Carry out plant and equipment installation as required.Carry out plant and equipment repair, modification, and construction as required.Make sure that good housekeeping is maintained in the work shop, after every preventive maintenance is done, and after fixing breakdowns.Requirements: Mechanical trade qualification.Safety focused.More than 2 years of experience in a production environment with fault-finding skills.Food Industry experience desiredTeam oriented and innovative. Encourage new ideas to continuously improve the company equipment and facilities.Be on call outside of regular work hours to attend urgent issues and breakdowns if required.
