Discover the Opportunity An opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Fitter (working on the afternoon shift) to join the Opal Athol Park team reporting to the Engineering Manager.
Our site is based in the western suburbs of Adelaide, only 15 minutes from the city and 10 minutes to the coast. We are a small Engineering team who are skilled and passionate about what we do. We offer a challenge and an environment to grow and develop. We offer flexibility and weekend work as an option.
The role will be responsible for preventative and breakdown maintenance across the plant in a safe, cost-effective and efficient manner.
The Maintenance Fitter role includes but is not limited to:
Carrying out all site maintenance and corrective tasks to ensure reliability of plant and equipment which includes:Timely/effective closeout of all work orders supported by relevant feedback, information and other reports as required.Planning own maintenance activities without supervision.Following safe work practices at all times.Promptly attending breakdowns and resolving operational or technical problems to minimise business interruptions resulting from equipment breakdowns/failures.Providing trouble-shooting expertise as required.Performing modification work as well as general facility maintenance.Contributing ideas for continuous improvement and assisting in the development of job procedures as required, which includes:Participating in projects as directed.Actively participating in the development & implementation of modern maintenance, reliability systems and practices.Supervising apprentices as required.Providing reasonable support/supervision outside of normal working hours as required.Discover Yourself Trade qualified fitter or equivalentKnowledge & experience in safe working practices/proceduresAbility to understand technical drawings.Reliable, self-motivated and able to work unsupervised in a team environmentTeam player, trustworthy and great work ethicFor more information, please contact Paul Evans on or jump right in by applying now!
