An opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Fitter to join the Opal Thomastown, we have both Afternoon and Night shifts available.
The objective of the role is to ensure all site maintenance and corrective tasks are carried out to ensure reliability of plant and equipment. The person will also be required to support and undertake maintenance and engineering projects to continuously improve both the capability and reliability of the business.
The Maintenance Fitter role includes but is not limited to:
Carrying out all site maintenance and corrective tasks to ensure reliability of plant and equipment which includes; Timely/effective closeout of all work orders supported by relevant feedback, information and other reports as required. Planning and carrying out maintenance activities without supervision. Capturing details of breakdown/improvements/modifications within the shift in shift logs & reports Working together with team towards recurrence prevention & root cause analysis to minimize downtime Promptly attend breakdowns and resolve operational or technical problems Perform modification work as well as general facility maintenance. Contribute ideas for continuous improvement and assist in the development of job procedures as required, which includes; Participating in projects as directed. Actively participate in the development & implementation of modern maintenance, reliability systems and practices. Provide reasonable support/supervision outside of normal working hours as required. Trade qualified fitter or equivalent Knowledge of hydraulic/pneumatic systems Experience in high-speed production lines and environment will be advantageous More than 5 years of experience as a Fitter in Manufacturing Ability to understand technical drawings Reliable, self-motivated and able to work unsupervised in a team environment Team Player, trustworthy, and great work ethic Follow safety systems, GMP HACCP policies Discover more... by visiting our website at
