This permanent position offers a unique opportunity for an experienced fitter or a 3rd-year apprentice looking to step into a leadership role with the potential for career progression into a Supervisor position.
About the role: Reporting to the State Operations Manager, you will oversee the maintenance of the plant to ensure optimal performance and maintenance of all equiptment.
The role operates Monday to Friday, from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, (no shift work) and full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities: Ensure daily mechanical serviceability of production lines, minimising downtime Perform maintenance tasks across the entire plant as required Collaborate with the State Operations Manager on preventative maintenance programs Efficiently manage maintenance shutdowns and maintain records of planned and unplanned stoppages Oversee contractors on-site to ensure safety and minimise operational disruption Manage spare parts ordering and stock control Skills & Experience : Experience with packaging machinery, conveying systems, palletising systems, robotics, and pneumatics.
Trade qualification with at least 2 years' experience as a Maintenance Fitter in a food or beverage FMCG manufacturing environment Familiarity with HACCP and food safety standards A proactive, positive attitude and strong team orientation Safety-conscious with good housekeeping practices Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively Refrigeration experience is a plus but not essential Why Apply?
