Groote Eylandt is home to the Anindilyakwa people, who are the traditional owners of the land and have been working alongside GEMCO since 1963.WHAT SOUTH32 OFFERSAnnual short-term incentive bonus that recognizes both your individual performance and the overall success of the business.26 weeks full-paid, or 52 weeks half-paid parental leave for primary carers.Become a shareholder of South32 through our share plans.Options for additional superannuation contributions.ABOUT THE ROLEThis role is a permanent position on a 4:3 or 7:7 roster, FIFO from Darwin or Cairns.As the Maintenance Engineer-Mobile Assets, you will deliver engineering solutions to support the Mobile Maintenance Function which will include maintenance strategy development and management, critical spares/component analysis and leading defect elimination initiatives.Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:Identify and plan engineering works with consideration to requirements, budgets and priorities.Undertake Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations into equipment defect and implement defect elimination countermeasures.Provide technical expertise to Execution to support work quality and safe execution of maintenance work.Support Inventory & Warehousing processes through providing input on stock levels, criticality etc.ABOUT YOUYou will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:Sound understanding of reliability centred maintenance and the ability to develop and implement preventative maintenance strategies.Analytical and investigative skills including experience in leading Root Cause Analysis processes.Prior experience with Mobile Fleet in a Mining environment - Heavy Mining and Light Vehicle Ancillary equipment.Familiar with condition monitoring processes and application to Mobile Fleet.Proficiency in software such as SAP1 and OnePM will be highly regarded.Qualifications for this position are:Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering.South32 is committed to building and maintaining an inclusive and diverse workforce that reflects the communities in which we operate.
