About the role
The Maintenance Engineer provides support in the leadership and management of the Transport Services section. The key responsibilities of this role are to provide expert technical advice to ensure efficient delivery of maintenance programs for critical infrastructure, including roads, drainage systems, bridges, and footpaths. The successful candidate will oversee work order scheduling, and maintenance planning, and contribute to ongoing improvement in productivity and performance measures.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Leading the planning and scheduling of maintenance works in alignment with the Forward Log, Back Log, and Maintenance Schedules.Collaborate with coordination teams to finalise draft work schedules and adjust maintenance plans for reactionary tasks.Manage annual minor works programs, including footpath and kerb replacements, heavy patching, and yearly resealing programs.Assist with grant reporting and the administration of local road authority regulations.Prepare contract documentation, the calling of tenders, and award contracts as necessary.Foster a flexible and skilled workforce through positive and effective staff management and conflict resolution.Utilise mobile technology and maintenance management systems to enhance work organisation and reporting.If you have experience in infrastructure maintenance or construction and are familiar with maintenance management systems - Apply today!
