What You Will DoReporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Electrician will perform maintenance activities (planned / opportunity / breakdown) of fixed plant and equipment to align with the site's Maintenance & Production schedules in support of optimising plant reliability, improving employee safety and continuous improvement activities.
This role is a permanent opportunity, commencing on Monday to Friday day work, upon completion of site competencies - the role will move into a shift-based roster (incl.
day / afternoon / night over a 7 day operating model).
Identify faults and perform breakdown repairs to minimise downtime and micro-stops caused by production machinery and equipmentInspect, test and maintain machinery & equipment in production areas and the wider plantWork with PLC and electronically controlled system diagnostics, fault finding, programming and connectionsPerform general plant and building maintenance workUndertake specific project work upon requestPerform assigned tasks in accordance with all Simplot Safety, Environmental, Health and Safety programmes and goalsUtilise MEX CMMS to update work orders, search asset history and advise on any maintenance trends or opportunity for improvement and innovationTake part in continuous improvement (CI) activitiesAbout YouPossess a 100% commitment to health, safety and wellbeing in the workplaceHold a Cert III Electrotechnology (or equivalent)Demonstrated diagnostic, fault finding and trouble shooting skillsElectrical related manufacturing / FMCG experience will be highly regardedExperience in safety & quality systems and proceduresAbility to read and interpret schematics (advantageous)Sound judgment and decision making abilityPossess a high level of both written and verbal communication skills in addition to time management skillsIntermediate user of Windows-based systems and softwareAbility to work proactively whilst unsupervised whilst also being able to work within a team environmentWillingness to undergo a pre-employment medical (incl.
