An opportunity has arisen for an A Grade Special Class Electrician to join the Opal Scoresby Team reporting to the Electrical Supervisor.
The role will be responsible for the Electrical Maintenance support of machinery, equipment, site and services to achieve optimum production and customer service.
In addition to all aspects of electrical maintenance, the position is also responsible for ensuring safe work practices are achieved at all times and that company policies and practices are adhered to.
The Maintenance Electrician – Afternoon Shift role includes but is not limited to:
Complying with and practicing Opal safety protocols and ensuring knowledge of procedures and safety education is current, including LOTO practices and procedures.
Disassembling, assessing, repairing and reassembling machines, equipment and components.
Understanding, supporting, promoting and complying with Production Management Systems.
Maintaining equipment condition and reliability to achieve company quality and safety targets, including developing and executing preventative maintenance practices.
Experience in the use of CMMS and other maintenance/reliability tools and practices.
Providing reasonable site support outside of normal working hours as required.
Ensuring timely action and satisfactory completion of PM work as specified by OEMs.
Providing technical support to the Maintenance and Production teams.
Assisting with ordering components and liaising with external suppliers and OEMs as necessary with appropriate approval.
Availability to work a reasonable amount of weekly overtime as required.
The successful candidate should possess a minimum requirement of a C6 Trade classification with experience in pneumatics, electronic drives and control systems, excellent knowledge of PLCs, excellent fault finding and troubleshooting abilities, and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
