Job Description Reporting to the Field Maintenance Superintendent and operating from the Southern Maintenance Facility you will be responsible for providing strong leadership to achieve outstanding results for the Maintenance team.
This role will see you coordinate maintenance activities on a large fleet of field equipment comprising of 2x electric rope shovels, 2x 9800 Liebherr excavators, a fleet of Hitachi excavators and 8x production drills.
The role is accountable for ensuring all work is completed as planned, delivering exceptional safety and quality outcomes.
About the Role As a Maintenance Coordinator, your role is to:
Coordinate the activities of the Field Maintenance team operating from the South Facility to minimise production disruptions caused by equipment failures.Drive continuous business improvement and quality assurance of maintenance performance.Supervise maintenance supervisors in the South workshop and facilities, ensuring all work is completed as scheduled to quality and safety standards whilst maintaining maintenance systems and ensuring integrity of recorded data.Offer your team coaching and support to drive high performance by leveraging off your previous leadership experience.Be accountable for advising a team of maintainers and supervisors to achieve agreed maintenance goals.
You will also provide a high level of support to the Maintenance Superintendent to ensure the overall mine plan is achieved within deadlines.Be accountable for maintaining a safe workplace, providing visible leadership and coordinating the Field Maintenance team to achieve agreed KPI's.Effectively establish strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Direct the supervisors of sub-contractors working within the area of responsibility.Roster and Location Monday to Friday professional rosterBased on site at HVO South Complex (off Comleroi Road)About You The successful applicant will have:
A relevant trade or tertiary qualifications.Strong maintenance experience and proven success in a similar role.Previous experience working with Electric Shovels, Excavators & Drills.Demonstrated knowledge of the Work Health and Safety Act and Regulations, Work Health and Safety (Mines and Petroleum Sites) Act and Regulations and relevant Codes of Practice.The ability to work in a fast paced & dynamic environment.Computer literacy in Excel and Word are also required with proven experience.
