With a bright future ahead, we are seeking team members for our exciting Balranald operation where we will be deploying a new mining technology.
Using remotely operated, novel underground mining (UGM) systems to extract key critical minerals.
The technology we have developed is based on Maxi HDD rig platforms and offers a unique professional experience for competent and adaptable maintenance professionals.
About the location Iluka's Balranald operation is located just outside of Balranald township in regional NSW.
You can choose to reside locally, drive-in drive-out from towns within the regional area or fly-in, fly-out from Melbourne.
For South Australian residents we will mobilise you via road transport from our Iluka office in Adelaide.
About the role This is an exciting opportunity to help lead a new maintenance team and site asset management program from scratch, allowing for the design and implementation of tailored processes that meet the unique needs of the operation.
You will have the chance to shape the maintenance strategy, influence best practices, and drive continuous improvement from the ground up.
Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, and in collaboration with your back-to-back peer, you will lead a team of mechanical and electrical technicians, to execute all site maintenance activities, with a strong focus on health, safety and environment.
Your team will ensure our 4 x HK550 maxi horizontal directional drill rigs, concentration & tailings processing plant, Surface Mining Equipment (SME), Light Vehicles (LVs) and camp facilities are running and maintained at optimum efficiency.
About you Trade qualified (mechanical preferred) Experience maintaining industrial, mining, and/or mineral processing equipment You are an adaptable, innovative leader who thrives in dynamic environments, bringing a proactive approach to maintenance and team leadership You will be able to organise and develop your teams to achieve maintenance targets with a strong focus on safety performance You will also be able to work across team functions to achieve collective outcomes Valid "C" class valid driver's licence Our offer to you Family friendly 8:6 roster New camp facilities, including gym and a swimming pool Be supported through an inclusive and collaborative culture?
