The role
ALS Geochemistry is looking for a Maintenance Assistant to maintain our equipment at our Orange site.
Working in a close-knit team, you will report to the Maintenance Coordinator and assist with routine maintenance, fixing equipment and attending to breakdowns as required.
This full-time role will be responsible for:
Routine maintenance of all sample preparation equipment.Building and fabrication of laboratory equipment.Carrying out preventative maintenance.Maintaining equipment.This is a residential role.
To be considered, you must reside in or plan to relocate to Orange, NSW, and have current Australian work rights. The Essentials Welding & mild steel experience highly regarded.Current Forklift licence (preferred).Current Working at Height ticket (preferred).Trade qualifications are not necessary.
However, previous experience with power tools & equipment on a professional or personal level is essential.Mechanical aptitude is beneficial.Previous fault-finding and repair experience desired.Excellent work ethic.Committed to a safety culture while maximizing productivity.The ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision whilst being committed to the work of a team.Reliable, physically fit, and prepared for manual tasks.High level of communication.The ability to handle a busy and diverse workload.Working at ALS
