We're committed to continuous improvement and have exciting plans for the future – grow your career with us!Beautiful grounds located in North Turramurra with free onsite parkingAmazing working culture driven by our values of Love, Decency & Kindness - join a team that is supportive, positive and driven.Access to our very own Rewards & Discount gateway – Great discounts and rewards across 250+ retailers and food/beverage companies.A free coffee daily!The RoleUndertake regular corrective and routine planned preventative maintenance and grounds work to ensure the appearance and condition of the Village and its buildings, plant, facilities, equipment and grounds areas are of a quality standard required to provide a pleasant and safe environment for our residents, team and visitors.This is a full-time position and the working hours are:Monday - Thursday 7.30am - 4pmFriday - 7.30am to 2pmSome of your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Carry out minor repairs to buildings, plant, and equipment, such as:Painting, PlasteringSmall repair on floor finishGeneral carpentry tasksGeneral repairs such as door, lock, flyscreen repairsPlumbing repairs, leaking taps, blocked toilets, shower leak repairsGeneral cleaning/hard surface cleaning – water blastingClean pathways using a leaf blowerEmpty bins and removal of general waste itemsAssisting with event set up and break downsAttend to maintenance requests in a timely and professional mannerEnsure that for work undertaken the relevant Australian Standards and Regulations are observedComply with health and safety requirements relating to maintenance activitiesAbout youDemonstrated experience in undertaking maintenance duties, preferably in a Retirement Living / Aged Care environmentExperience in planning and managing job allocations in a timely mannerAbility to work effectively in a team environment - you are a great communicator and look for continuous improvementSound knowledge of computer software programs (Microsoft Word, Office)Understanding of, and empathy towards aged persons and their requirements living within a Retirement Village or other similar facilityINTERESTED IN APPLYING?If you feel passionate about contributing to the LDK vision and believe this is the opportunity for you, please apply now.Successful applicants will be required to undergo a Police Clearance.
