Job DescriptionJob Description Reporting to the depot Manager, the position includes the following responsibilities:
Ensuring safe & efficient shunting activitiesPerform assigned duties in accordance with SCT Rail's policies and work instructions.Commitment to safety in the workplaceEnsure compliance with all of SCT's OHS policies, procedures and applicable state and federal legislationA strong customer focus orientationBe able to work in a team environment and in some cases unsupervisedDesired Skills and ExperienceDesired Skills and Experience The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
Shunting & Train Driving Qualifications.Route Knowledge to Perth, Broken Hill and Horsham.Good interpersonal and communication skillsCurrent Track Access Permit (TAP)Valid C Class Driver's LicenseA strong commitment to safety.Be reasonably fit and agile to meet the demands of the job.All applicants please note: The successful candidate will be required to complete a full Pre-Employment CAT1 medical, including drug and alcohol screening, and an Australian Federal Police check prior to commencement.
