Main Component Exchange Technician

DRD Group are looking for two experienced Main Component Exchange Technicians (MCE) based anywhere on the East Coast of Australia working a 3:1 roster. Our client is an industry leader in renewable energy and has ongoing work across multiple sites around Australia. The Main Component Exchange Technician will be working within an established team working on the safe execution main component exchange and uptower repair work on Wind Turbines across Australia. About the role; - Ability to work within small teams during onsite execution of works - Perform work as directed by the Lead Technician, involving operations of heavy machinery working with various employees, contractors and vendors - Inspection of major parts ensuring they are the correct type and configuration, and not damaged. - Take inventory of tooling, parts and any other items required in operations - Report all errors, violations or incidents immediately using reporting systems - Liaise with engineering team in regards to technical issues and querys - Ability to work weekends and nights as required - Perform HV Switching as required - Follow all EHS policies and procedures applicable - Cooperate with investigations and audits About you; - Qualified Electrician with appropriate electrical license, or mechanical tradesperson with electrical aptitude - Proficient in fault finding for electrical, mechanical and hydraulic equipment - Experience in wind farm operations and maintenance, installation and heavy lift component exchange. - Intermediary computer level skills - Permanent work rights in Australia - Ability and capacity to travel nationally or internationally for work and training as part of your roster. - Positive attitude and ability to complete physically demanding work at heights - Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task with competing priorities - Strong problem solving skills - GWO/GWO ART qualification desirable - Dogging/Rigging/Franna tickets desirable For more information about this opportunity, please contact Blue Collar  on    08 9437 4400 If you possess relevant experience and are available for a new opportunity, please submit your resume by clicking APPLY.
