Job details Location: New South Wales Salary: $35 per hour Job Type: Contract Discipline: Administration & Office Support Reference: V-115157 Posted: 19 minutes ago Share this job Job description Mailroom attendant Monday 30th September – Friday 1st November 2024 Sydney CBD $35 per hour + super We are seeking an outgoing and motivated Mailroom Attendant with at least 6 months of experience in a similar role.
The ideal candidate is a team player with excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude.
This position involves handling the receipt, delivery, and processing of shipments and mail within our clients organisation.
About the role: Handle the receipt and distribution of freight packages from carriers, including DHL, FedEx, and other courier services.
Efficiently process all incoming and outgoing mail, ensuring timely delivery and accuracy.
Sort incoming mail and packages and deliver them to designated recipients throughout the facility.
Respond to requests for the pickup of interoffice mail and ensure timely delivery.
Maintain accurate logs and paperwork for tracking and follow-up purposes.
Collaborate with team members to support the overall operation of the mailroom and ensure efficient service delivery.
Assist in achieving compliance with all customs and regulatory requirements related to mail and shipments.
Provide support in managing the storeroom as needed, including inventory control.
Keep detailed records of all incoming and outgoing mail and packages from the client's site.
Perform manual handling of shipments as required, ensuring safety and compliance with procedures.
About you: Minimum of 6 months of experience in a mailroom or similar role is preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, contributing positively to team goals.
Demonstrates a go-getter mentality, taking initiative to improve processes and solve problems.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accurate record-keeping and mail processing.
Ability to lift and move packages as needed.
Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and intranet/internet and work order system.
