PRIMARY DETAIL Exceptional development opportunity working with world class researchers Build your academic networks and access cutting-edge facilities and technology Full-time, 2 year fixed-term with possibility of renewal An excellent opportunity exists for a researcher to join the newly created Silicon Platforms Lab (SiP Lab) within the School of Engineering, Macquarie University.
We are seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to develop integrated circuit chips in CMOS technologies.
You will be a part of a diverse and multidisciplinary team consisting of researchers in the Silicon Platforms Lab.
You will report to Dr Jafar Shojaii and will:
Design and test radiation hardened ASIC chips for applications in space, defence and high energy physics experiments.
Radiation testing ASIC chips using particle accelerator machines Developing novel simulation methods for the damaging effects of radiation on ASIC chips This is an excellent opportunity for an early career researcher to conduct impactful research in Semiconductor, build new networks with world-leading researchers, author high-quality publications and initiate and lead new projects and research proposals.

You will have: A PhD or equivalent in Electronics, Physics or other relevant areas A strong publication record relative to opportunity in appropriate research area Experience in designing ASIC chips An ability to work closely with a team towards a common goal, and independently.
Demonstrated ability to prepare research reports and manuscripts for publication.
Strong evidence of ability and desire to build an academic research career trajectory.
Excellent interpersonal and both written and oral communication skills in English.
Excellent ability to work co-operatively and positively in a multi-disciplinary research-based team environment and liaise with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Desirable: Experience in firmware development Experience in radiation test of electronics Ability to supervise and mentor research students.
The ability to attract funding through competitive grant applications, commensurate with experience and opportunities.
