The purpose of a Business Analyst role is to leverage data to enhance business processes, support decision-making, and facilitate communication between business and technical teams. This role is critical in ensuring that data is effectively utilized to drive business success and strategic growth.
The Business Analyst role will be responsible for:
Business Analysis Planning and Monitoring Requirements Elicitation and Collaboration Requirements Life Cycle Management Strategy Analysis Requirements Analysis and Design Definition Solution Evaluation Staying current with industry trends and best practices Applying new knowledge to improve business analysis processes and techniques This is a Full-Time opportunity based in South Melbourne within our Corporate Services/Information Technology Program. The position reports to the Enterprise Architect. Key Selection Criteria: To be successful in this role, the incumbent will have:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field A minimum of 2 years' experience in managing business requirements and process improvements, preferably within an IT environment. Strong understanding of BABOK and business analysis principles, practices, and methodologies Ability to analyse complex business processes and data to identify issues and opportunities for improvement Proficiency in both verbal and written communication to interact with stakeholders, gather requirements, and convey complex information clearly Experience in engaging with stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure their requirements are accurately captured and addressed Expertise in managing the requirements lifecycle, from elicitation and documentation to validation and implementation Ability to analyse the current state of the business, define the desired future state, and develop strategies to achieve business objectives Skills in assessing the performance of implemented solutions to ensure they deliver the expected business value and identifying areas for improvement Experience in planning and monitoring business analysis activities to ensure they are conducted efficiently and effectively Familiarity with business analysis tools and techniques, as well as IT systems and software relevant to the role Please address the full Key Selection Criteria outlined in the PD as part of your application.
