Gladstone Machining and Fabrication – Gladstone QLDLocal workshop in Gladstone area looking for a skilled workshop Machinist Full Time to operate a variety of machines to perform assigned tasks. You will produce or repair precision parts using both manual and automated equipment and accurate measurements. The Machinist will need to have an eye for detail, they must also have knowledge of mathematics and mechanics as well as respect for safety. A competitive wage is on offer for the right candidate.Machinist ResponsibilitiesReviewing drawings, or instructions to understand specifications.Taking measurements for cutting or shaping.Checking quality to ensure consistency with specifications.Performing routine machine maintenance and repairing minor damages.RequirementsRelevant trade qualifications with trade experience.Experience in using manual and semi-automated machines.Ability to use precision tools to take accurate measurements.Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety.Proficient in mathematics.Basic computer skills.Forklift licence (desirable but not essential).
