The Machine Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining various machines to ensure efficient production.
The role involves setting up machines, performing routine checks, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the overall quality of the products meets the company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Operation: Operate manufacturing machinery and equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Set up machines (calibration, cleaning, etc.)
to start a production cycle.
Quality Control: Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools to ensure products meet specifications.
Monitor the production process and make adjustments to ensure quality standards are maintained.
Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance on machines and equipment.
Report any issues or malfunctions to maintenance personnel or supervisors.
Assist in troubleshooting machine problems to determine necessary repairs.
Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
Documentation: Maintain accurate production records and logs.
Document any changes, issues, or maintenance activities.
Work closely with other team members to meet production targets.
Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
Efficiency and Improvement: Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance production efficiency.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Prior experience as a machine operator or in a related manufacturing role is preferred.
Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
Proficiency in operating various machines and equipment.
Basic understanding of computer systems and software used in manufacturing.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) as needed.
Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Working Conditions:
Work is typically performed in a manufacturing environment.
Exposure to loud noises, chemicals, and machinery.
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
