Discover the Opportunity…. Opal Fibre Packaging Australia provides a full service offering in corrugated cardboard box packaging from design and product testing through to supply chain integration. We have an exciting opportunity for a trade qualified technician to join our team of machine systems technicians. This is a full-time permanent role, predominantly servicing sites in the Bundaberg region.
The main objective of the role is to maintain, repair, and retool plant and equipment in accordance with manufacturer recommendations, with a focus on upholding safety and maximizing production at our customer's sites.
For this role we would ideally like you to have:
Strong trade qualified skills (hydraulic, electrical, or pneumatic experience advantageous)Good fitting, fabrication, and troubleshooting skillsAbility to effectively perform preventative maintenance tasksThe ability to work autonomously, but also enjoy being a part of a teamStrong attention to detail and communication skills (written and oral)Robust problem-solving skillsFlexibility, initiative, and proactiveThe ability to participate in rotating call-outs and shifts during times of peak seasonal demand and as requiredAn uncompromising attitude towards Health & SafetyLimited or full electrical licenses desirableFibre Packaging or production machinery knowledge advantageousThis is an interesting and varied role for the successful applicant. Ongoing training and opportunities to upskill are provided and encouraged.
