The Yoghurt Shop is seeking Machine Operators and Packing and Production Team Members to work shift work across day, afternoon and night shift. We run shift work and due to business growth, we are seeking both Machine Operators (preferably with food industry experience) and Production & Packing team members to work a rotating roster across day, afternoon and night shift. We are seeking individuals who understand the critical importance of quality, hygiene and food safety; strictly adhere to all regulations, policies and procedures and make sure we remind our teammates when they forget!

Your new role As a Machine Operator or Packing and Production Team Member you will be part of a team working under the supervision and guidance of the relevant Shift Manager and be responsible for contributing to the production and/or packing of yoghurt products in a timely manner and in accordance with approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities - Machine Operator include, but are not limited to:
Strictly follow all hygiene, quality, WHS and food safety regulations, SOPs, policies and proceduresSet up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycleControl and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed)Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machinesInspect parts with precision and measuring toolsTest operation of machines periodicallyFix issues within your skillset that might occur during the shiftCheck output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flawsKeep records of approved and defective units or final productsMaintain activity logsWork at different stations as production requiresInspect, weigh, and package productsMonitor flow of product into processing machineryVerify compliance with quality, safety, production standards, work rules, and efficient operation of equipmentReport potential production downtime, scrap production, and quality of each machine and summarise data from shiftMaintain a clean and safe work environmentResponsibilities - Packing and Production Team Member include, but are not limited to:
Strictly follow all hygiene, quality and food safety regulations, SOPs, policies and proceduresWork at different stations as production requiresInspect, weigh, and package productsMonitor flow of product into processing machineryVerify compliance with quality, safety, production standards, work rules, and efficient operation of equipmentReport potential production downtime, scrap production, and quality of each machine and summarise data from shiftMaintain a clean and safe work environmentWhat you need to succeed  Machine Operator only: Proven experience as a machine operator Machine Operator only: Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.)Desired experience in Food Manufacturing industryAbility to strictly follow all regulations, SOPs, policies and proceduresAbility to strictly adhere to Work, Health and Safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)At least 18 years oldAble to lift up 20 kilogramsAble to stand up to 4 hours at a timeDemonstrated ability to operate machineryMachine Operator only: Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manualsGood analytical skillsProven ability to problem-solveGood attention to detailHigh level of self-motivation and initiativeThe ability to taste yoghurt and yoghurt products throughout production stage, this means no allergies to dairy or nutsYou will need to have work rights in Australia and provide 2 professional references of seniority.
