About the roleLaing O'Rourke Rail Operations NSW is rapidly growing and looking for experienced Machine OperatorsWe undertake significant railway and transport infrastructure upgrade Maintenance and Projects throughout Newcastle, the Hunter Valley, and regional NSW.We are currently recruiting for the following positions: Resurfacing / Tamping / Regulator Machine Operator and TraineeMachine Operators (Excavator / FEL / Hi-Rail) These are great opportunities for individuals who are either based in the Hunter Valley or Sydney Region.The successful candidates will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills plus the ability to work in a team environment whilst meeting both safety and delivery targets.Our aim is to create a workplace where people are respected and encouraged to fulfill their potential.We foster a culture that supports diversity and inclusion.To be a successful participant you will ideally demonstrate experience within a similar position (other than for the Trainee roles), as per the below:Mandatory training requirements (other than for Trainee roles): Experience with Railway works both maintenance and renewals.Current Drivers LicenceRail Industry Worker Card (RIW)Current track safety awarenessPass a CAT 3 Medical To be considered for this role you must be willing to: Capability of working in physically demanding, high performance Rail Teams.Work may involve working away from home at times.Be able to work weekends/nightshifts when required.Follow Laing O'Rourke Next Gear Safety PrinciplesUndertake additional training as and when required Current tickets such as Front-End Loader, Roller, Excavator, Tamper / Regulator Operator will be considered favourably for all positions.BenefitsWe work hard to create an environment that brings out the best in our people.
