To apply for this role, you must hold current work rights for New Zealand. Our client, based in Hornby, is one of the world's top paper and cardboard packaging companies.
What we offer:
Work locally and closer to your community $23.50 to $28.00/hour + Overtime 1.5/2 + allowances Fixed Afternoon Shift - 3:50 PM to 12:50 AM (usually finish around 1:50 AM) Overtime rates apply for additional hours Free onsite parking + paid refreshment breaks Uniform provided About you:
Must commit permanently to the afternoon shift; no shift swapping allowed. Prior machine operation experience in printing or packaging is highly desirable. Apprentices willing to learn are also encouraged. Ability to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain machinery effectively. Experience with various printing/packaging machines is a plus. Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control and accuracy. Ability to lift heavy materials, stand for long periods, and handle repetitive tasks. Must work well in a team and adapt to changing production demands. Adhere to all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Good communication skills for interacting with team members and supervisors. What we need:
Set up, run, clean, and maintain machines precisely to ensure optimal performance. Experience with clamshell machines, crease and fold, or gluers is a plus. Work efficiently in a dynamic setting with a focus on detail to meet quality standards and keep production smooth. Adjust machine settings and resolve issues quickly to reduce downtime and keep workflow uninterrupted. Follow safety practices to maintain a secure environment and enhance productivity. Collaborate with a supportive team to achieve goals and leverage diverse skills for effective task completion and problem-solving.
