Developers / Programmers (Information & Communication Technology)
Full time
$120k - $240k + Super (depending on experience)
Are you an experienced Machine Learning Engineer with a passion for solving complex industrial challenges?
This is a unique opportunity to work on a cutting-edge project, applying your machine learning and backend development skills to improve the predictability of asset health and maintenance.

You'll be part of a dynamic, startup-like environment, contributing to a fully funded project aimed at transforming the industry.

About You :
We're looking for a driven and self-motivated Machine Learning Engineer with a strong background in backend development and a problem-solving mindset.

Ideally, you'll have experience in asset management or maintenance, though this is not a dealbreaker.
What matters most is your ability to work closely with a domain expert to take in messy data sets and produce meaningful results.

You thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and are eager to innovate.

You should have :
A minimum of 3 years of experience in backend development.
Experience with backend technologies (any backend language, frameworks, or tools).
A background in asset management or maintenance (ideally).
Familiarity with tools and frameworks such as scikit-learn, spacy, and pytorch (not essential).
A passion for working on innovative, high-impact projects.
Must have Machine Learning experience using Python.
Natural Language Processing experience (MLP).
Key Responsibilities :
Develop backend capabilities for a cutting-edge product, taking in complex data sets and translating domain expert requirements into code.
Handle data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes, ensuring that data is effectively processed for analysis.
Collaborate closely with a team of 3, working hands-on to deliver the project.
Report directly to the Head of Software, working with the Product Owner to align technical solutions with business needs.
Innovate and problem-solve in a "skunkworks" environment, free from traditional bureaucratic constraints.
The Benefits :
Up to $240K + Super for the right candidate.
5 days in the office with flexibility if needed.
High-impact work on a fully funded, cutting-edge project.
World-class team culture in a growing, profitable company.
Grade 1 central Perth office with end-of-trip facilities.
How to Apply :
If this opportunity sounds like a great fit for you, please apply now.
