Machine Controls Technician -Electronics

Are you passionate about electronics and operational technology, and enjoy delivering hands-on field service support?
You have strong knowledge of mining and construction site operations, backed by practical onsite experience.
Your Challenge In this role, you will offer field service support for equipment management and solutions related to mobile equipment at various mine sites throughout the Hunter Valley and surrounding regions.
Your day-to-day functions will be varied as you provide support across operational technology, from fleet management, high-precision GPS, and telemetry services to machine automation.
You will be the go-to person for technology solutions support, providing " helpdesk" type support across electronics, instrumentation, and communications for customers and dealers.
This will include carrying out installations, commissioning and training in the use of the Caterpillar technology product range and providing ongoing customer support.
Reporting to the Technology Service Supervisor, you will work alongside an experienced team to support growing customer demand and the expanding use of technologies in Caterpillar's latest machines The Business Our client is a leader in equipment management solutions, providing exceptional support in the mining and construction sectors.
The position will be based our clients headquarters in Newcastle, and requires travel to various sites predominantly in the Hunter Valley region You will receive a competitive salary package and a tool of trade vehicle.

About you You're a self-starter who leads by example.
Ideally, you've had experience in a similar role in the past and bring with you an understanding of general mining and construction site operations, preferably with a minimum 2 years of practical on-site experience.
Understanding and experience with Caterpillar electronic systems such as VIMS, MVRS, and MineStar would be a bonus for this role.
You will hold a relevant trade or technical qualification in Electronics, Auto Electrical, Mechatronics, or Telecommunications.
