Situated in the Fitzroy Region, near Gogango, Rural Funds Management is operating multiple macadamia orchards in various stages of development. As a result, this has opened roles in our operations team, irrigation team and our development team! Key Responsibilities Reporting to the Orchard Manager, Irrigation Manager or Development Manager, you will be responsible for: All aspects of farm work, including land preparation, planting, pruning and slashing Contributing to the development and installation of irrigation systems Operating and calibrating farming machinery Assisting with herbicide and pesticide application Contributing to a positive and productive working environment Requirements A positive, can-do attitude is essential You will be flexible, reliable, and available to work hours which may vary to meet operational demands (with potential for Saturday work and paid overtime) You will hold a C class drivers' licence (essential) Previous experience working on a farm and operating farm machinery is desirable but not a requirement You will be willing to undertake training at our cost to obtain your Chemical Users Certificate and/or other required courses Benefits An above award hourly rate, based on your skills and experience Optional transport available to/from work on a company bus service from designated pick-up locations between Rockhampton and the farms (subject to availability of seats) Ongoing training and development opportunities.
