The Coffs Harbour Bypass is a 14-kilometre stretch of road that will bypass the Coffs Harbour urban area. Ferrovial and Gamuda (FGJV) are the proud Design and Construct joint venture delivery partners of the Coffs Harbour Bypass – a significant, unique and exceptional major infrastructure project that will leave a legacy of innovation and sustainability in the region for communities of today and tomorrow.
The M&E Engineer will play a fundamental role as a key technical expert, providing guidance and project deliverables with the Mechanical & Electrical installation phase.
Responsibilities: Participate and lead design & constructability reviews for assigned work packages. Liaise with third parties' vendors on aspects of the design, procurement, implementation, and construction, providing feedback or request for information to the designer as required. Prepare timelines, monitor and ensure project programming and related deliverables are within budget and on schedule and make adjustments where necessary to achieve required goals. Develop, review and update systems functional design documentation including but not limited to interfaces documents (ICD), control specs (I/O lists), relevant technical information, etc. Develop, review and update testing documentation (Testing Specifications, Procedures and Test Cases) for all testing phases according to the V-Model. Manage assurance of traceability requirements until project completion (design, development, implementation, installation, testing, commissioning, and completion). Work with vendors, sub-contractors, and constructors to coordinate work, resolve issues and maximise productivity whilst delivering quality outcomes. Coordinate and lead commissioning of tunnel equipment & systems. Facilitate effective transition from highway and tunnel construction through to operations. Identify, assess and control risks to project quality of product. Ensure active management and compliance with HSE and Quality requirements. Required Qualifications and Experience: Pro-active 'Can Do' attitude and ability to solve problems. Great communication skills and able to interface at all levels of the project organisation. Bachelor's degree in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field. At least 4 years' experience in an engineering role on a major infrastructure project, with particular focus on Plant Management and Control Systems (PMCS) or Traffic Management and Control Systems (TMCS) for tunnel projects. Strong sound of management tools such as JIRA, DOORS, Completions Connect, GLAAS, etc. would be beneficial.
