Join our team as a Commercial Pricing Analyst at HQ and play a pivotal role in driving our pricing and product performance strategy. This role reports directly to the Head of Commercial & Finance , ensuring close collaboration with key decision-makers and an integral voice in shaping business outcomes.
About the Role: As a Commercial Pricing Analyst, you will be responsible for delivering actionable insights that shape our pricing strategies, enhance profitability, and support operational excellence. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a keen eye for detail, and enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Reporting to the Head of Commercial & Finance , you will work closely with senior stakeholders, including procurement and sales teams, to optimize pricing strategies and product performance while driving continuous improvement in business processes.
Key Responsibilities: Pricing and Profitability: Administer pricing contracts, analyze margins, and address price performance variance (PPV) to maximize profitability. Market & Product Analysis: Interrogate product pricing, assess market competitiveness, and analyze product mix, slow-moving product lines, and loss of market share. Data-Driven Insights: Provide detailed reports on pricing performance, market trends, and product profitability to guide strategic decisions. Procurement Support: Collaborate with procurement teams on cost analysis, inventory management, and sales forecasting to ensure accurate and competitive pricing. Continuous Improvement: Monitor pricing effectiveness, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement strategies that enhance overall business performance. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with the Head of Commercial & Finance and other senior stakeholders to align pricing strategies with broader commercial objectives. What We're Looking For: Experience: A proven track record (2-3yrs) in analytical roles within commercial, sales, or category functions. Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and data analysis tools, with exceptional reporting and presentation skills. Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting (highly regarded). Attention to Detail: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends and deliver actionable insights. Collaboration: A team player with strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence. Market Awareness: Experience in addressing product mix, pricing strategies, and market competitiveness is highly desirable. Why Join Us?
