About the Role Lucid is seeking a dedicated Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team, supporting Defence operations and the expansion of our capacity to bid for major projects and programmes of work.
The key responsibilities will include: Lead project teams as the Project Discipline Lead across Defence projects where Lucid are offering a single or limited disciplines, (Electrical/Communications) Manage the technical delivery of Defence projects commensurate with the level of experience of the candidate. The expectation would be for Senior Engineers to lead Major Works and Defence Industry projects. Perform independent Quality Assurance tasks on projects commensurate to the level of skill outlined above. Training of others within the technical discipline in Defence design requirements. Systems development and maintenance for quality and efficiency outcomes relevant to the discipline. Ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with Lucid's core values and signature behaviours. About you To be successful in this role, along with strong organisational, time management, and multitasking skills. The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines is essential, as are excellent teamwork and communication skills.
To be successful in this role it is expected that you will have the following skills:
Australian Citizen with current and/or the ability to hold a security clearance, existing baseline security clearance holders is preferred. A demonstrated ability to complete reporting to the expectations of a Defence client group. Reporting is to detail at a minimum the process throughout a design phase and critical design decision making that has resulted in the proposed technical solution. Consulting skills allowing the Engineer to undertake their duties semi-autonomously. Presenting to a group, contributing at project meetings, understanding commercial requirements on projects and handling conflicting requirements (scope, cost, compliance, coordination etc). An interest in Defence projects with experience within the Defence sector. A general understanding of the stakeholders, standards and process associated with project delivery. Continuous improvement and upskilling. The ability to delegate tasks within a team and prioritise workload, escalating as required to mitigate project risk.
