Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced LTE Core Expert with a strong background in Nokia technology to join the operations team of a global mining leader. This role focuses on ensuring the seamless operation, optimisation, and support of the LTE Core infrastructure that supports critical mining operations. The candidate will be working on a rolling contract, providing essential expertise to maintain, troubleshoot, and improve LTE core network performance. Key Responsibilities: Support and Maintenance: Lead the day-to-day support and troubleshooting of the LTE core network with a focus on minimising downtime and ensuring high network performance. Optimisation: Conduct performance analysis and optimisation of the LTE Core infrastructure, ensuring it operates at peak efficiency. Network Configuration: Implement and manage network configurations and updates to enhance network reliability and performance. Incident Management: Collaborate with the operations team to respond to and resolve network incidents promptly, providing Level 2/3 support when required. Network Monitoring: Set up and maintain network monitoring tools and KPIs to proactively identify and resolve network issues. Vendor Collaboration: Liaise with Nokia and other vendors to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues. Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of network changes, incidents, configurations, and resolutions. Continuous Improvement: Provide recommendations for the continuous improvement of network performance, including software and hardware upgrades, new technologies, and procedures. Capacity Planning: Work with the operations team to plan for future capacity requirements based on traffic and usage trends. Required Skills and Experience: 5+ years of experience in LTE Core Networks, with a focus on Nokia technology. Strong expertise in Nokia EPC (Evolved Packet Core), MME, SGW, PGW, and other LTE core elements. Hands-on experience with network management tools for LTE core infrastructure. Proven ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and manage incidents in a high-availability environment. Familiarity with radio access network (RAN) technologies and how they interface with the LTE core. Experience working in industrial or mining environments is a plus. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in operations, engineering, and vendor support. Strong communication and documentation skills. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Certifications in Nokia LTE Core technologies are highly preferred.
