An exciting opportunity for the newly developed 0.8 role, working with secondary schools across the Goulburn Area, from Wallan to Yarrawonga.
You will manage the day-to-day operations and support school-based VET Co-ordinators to increase access to VET for students working alongside Goulburn Murray LLEN and Central Ranges LLEN.
The VET Cluster Coordinator is responsible for delivering critical management functions to support the implementation of the Department of Education's VET Cluster framework for Government, Catholic and Independent schools and VDSS lifecycle.
Oversight for the Cluster Coordinator will sit with LLEN's Executive Officer, with direction provided by the Cluster's Governance Group.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Cluster operations
Managing the daily operations of the Lower Hume and Moira-Shepparton VET Cluster meetings once per term.
Identifying and leading the planning and development of new programs, products, and services to increase opportunities for young people in the Cluster.
Monitoring and evaluating Cluster performance, including leading Cluster self-audits to identify the operational and strategic functions requiring improvement and designing strategies to address these.
Supporting school-based VET Coordinators, including building capabilities through identifying and organising professional development.
Engage in identifying trends in enrolments and planning to address potential access and provision gaps based on this.
Support with the negotiation of VET Contracts with relevant RTO's (as required) including completion of request for quotation on delivery of services.
Planning and manage the transport logistics of student movement between the schools and providers.
Ensure schools are aware of ASQA requirements for VET teachers.
Support school-based VET teachers to have the required certificates and VET qualifications (as per ASQA requirement) to deliver VET programs and vocational currency requirements.
Verify course requirements and unit of competency details for delivery of VET programs in accordance with VCAA VET program structure.
Facilitating the application, enrolment, attendance, reports systems and process between schools and providers.
Investigate and research new VET course providers and certificate requirements as required.
Implementation of the VET Cluster Framework and VDSS Lifecycle.
Implementing the Department's VET Cluster framework.
Aligning Cluster application and enrolment processes with the VDSS lifecycle.
With guidance from the Cluster Governance Group and in collaboration with the Area-Based Pathways Workforce, support the annual strategic planning process, including drafting of the strategic plan.
In collaboration with the Chairs, coordinate meetings of Cluster governance andoperations groups, including:o Developing agendas, taking and distributing minutes,o Organising the venue and catering (if required).
Stakeholder Engagement
Acting as the central point of contact between stakeholders.
Responding to communications from stakeholders and team members in a timely and professional manner.
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with the following stakeholders:o Area-based pathways workforceo LLEN'so All Cluster schoolso Head Start Hub Directoro RTO/ TAFE(s) that service the Clustero Local employers and industry
Identifying and developing relationships with new stakeholders that will benefit the Cluster's objectives and goals.
Communications and Documentation
Developing and maintaining Cluster documentation such as Cluster operations guidelines and student handbooks.
Providing critical information to inform reporting for contracts and partnerships.
Share SRP funding and targeted VET Band funding.
Provide information to the school community regarding VET opportunities for students.
Ensure schools are aware of the VET opportunities available to students.
Any other duties directed by the Governance and /or Operations Groups.
SKILLS and EXPERIENCE
Strong experience in the VET sector.
Collaborative mindset.
Understanding of AQSQ, VRQA and VCAA requirements for secondary school students.
High level of communication and administrative skills.
Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
Driver's Licence.
Working with Children's Check employer and current Police Check.
