Job Description
This position will oversee the day-to-day operations of the grain site, including managing the receiving, warehousing, and outturn of grain. Key tasks of this role include the day-to-day supervision of staff, meeting budgets, and achieving compliance requirements. Other responsibilities include:
Providing positive leadership to the team through the support and development of team members, appropriate rostering, and supervision of works. Ensuring a safe and healthy environment through the identification, evaluation, and control of risks. Ensuring grain quality on outturn is equal to or better than as it was graded on receival. Maintaining site hygiene, including but not limited to grain husbandry and tarp maintenance. Managing bunker and silo pest control to ensure zero live insects found on outturn. Developing and managing ongoing external client relationships with growers, transport operators, and key stakeholders. Desired Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
Industry-recognized grain sampling and inspection course. Full NSW driver's license. Previous experience as a Grains Supervisor or Leading Hand. First aid certificate. Confined spaces certificate. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite. Clear and effective communication skills. Diversity & Inclusion
