Selection Criteria:

SC1: Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including literacy and numeracy skills.
SC2: Experience in planning and implementing high-impact teaching strategies.
SC3: Experience in monitoring and assessing student learning.
SC4: Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
SC5: Attitudes consistent with Department values.

Role:
The classroom teacher classification comprises two salary ranges. The primary focus is on planning, preparation, and teaching to achieve specific student outcomes. Teachers engage in critical reflection to improve student engagement and learning.
Responsibilities:

Direct teaching of groups and individual students.
Contributing to curriculum development and evaluation.
Participating in parent/teacher meetings and staff meetings.
Undertaking non-teaching supervisory duties.

Who May Apply:
Teachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and qualified in the specified curriculum area(s).
