Selection Criteria SC1 Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including the ability to incorporate the teaching of literacy and numeracy skills.
SC2 Demonstrated experience in planning for and implementing high-impact teaching strategies.
SC3 Demonstrated experience in monitoring and assessing student learning.
SC4 Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.

Role The classroom teacher classification comprises two salary ranges.
The primary focus is on planning, preparation, and teaching to achieve specific student outcomes.
Range 2 classroom teachers play a significant role in improving student performance and educational outcomes.
Range 2 teachers will be expected to:
Meet the diverse needs of all students. Model exemplary classroom practice and mentor other teachers. Provide expert advice on professional learning. Supervise and train student teachers. Assist staff in using student data to inform teaching approaches. Range 1 teachers focus on developing skills to become effective practitioners with structured support.
Responsibilities The role of classroom teacher may include but is not limited to:
Direct teaching of groups and individual students; Contributing to curriculum development and evaluation; Participating in parent/teacher meetings and staff meetings; Undertaking non-teaching supervisory duties.
