This role uses skills in data mining, applied statistics, and scripting to develop crime detection analytical tools and investigates the outputs.
Reporting to the Lead Loss Prevention Analyst, this role is responsible for prioritising, coordinating, and completing in-depth analyses and ad-hoc requests using the team and data at their disposal.
Identify fraud risks and provide solutions for risk mitigation.Engage with internal customers directly to present and discuss results of analysis.Report findings and trends for stock loss and stocktake related metrics.Design and develop automated crime detection analytical solutions.Complete investigations and ad-hoc requests in a timely manner.Design, develop, and automate extensive and accurate analytical solutions for loss reduction including machine learning, AI, and predictive modelling where appropriate.Who we're looking for Our ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of Loss Prevention and have previous education or experience in computer science, statistics, mathematics, IT, or data analysis.
You will have a high attention to detail and the ability to build working relationships with a team of varying levels and technical expertise.
Additionally, you will have exceptionally high standards of ethics and integrity and be a confident communicator.
Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Statistics/Mathematics, IT, or Data Analysis or equivalent experience.Advanced programming skills in either R or Python, and SQL.Working experience in data wrangling, visualisation, and regression.Advanced Excel skills.Strong written and verbal skills.You'll be part of a workplace where you'll feel like you belong.
