The Driver for Meals Delivery is responsible for the safe and timely transportation and delivery of prepared meals to elderly clients. This role plays a key part in supporting clients' nutritional needs, ensuring their well-being, and helping them remain independent in their homes. The driver will follow the designated routes and schedules, maintain accurate records of deliveries, and provide a friendly and compassionate service to clients.
What we are looking for: A. Meal Delivery:Safely transport and deliver prepared meals to clients within the assigned service area.Ensure meals are delivered on time and in good condition, following the proper handling and safety procedures.Assist clients with receiving meals, ensuring proper handover.B. Route Management:Plan and follow the most efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries.Adjust routes as necessary to accommodate new deliveries or schedule changes.C. Client Interaction:Provide friendly and respectful interaction with clients during meal deliveries.Observe and report any concerns about the client's wellbeing or living conditions to the office.Handle any client queries or concerns with professionalism and refer them to the appropriate team member if necessary.D. Record Keeping:Maintain accurate delivery records, including time, date, and client information for each delivery.Complete any required paperwork or electronic logs related to deliveries.E. Vehicle Maintenance:Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and safe at all times.Conduct routine vehicle checks and report any issues or needed repairs to the appropriate department.F. Compliance & Safety:Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and hygiene standards.Follow organisational policies regarding client confidentiality, safety, and transportation regulations.The above list is not exhaustive and the role may change to meet the overall objectives of AVWA. Fulfil other duties as required by management and other department personnel as requested/required.
