The Opportunity Reporting to our Logistics Officer, the role will be based at our operational facility - Sandy Ridge.
The Sandy Ridge Facility is a remote residential site, with FIFO from Jandakot, Perth or DIDO from regional towns. Our operations are day shift only, working currently on a 7:7 roster, with 2:1 optional. The project has a design life of at least 25 years and operates with a team of approximately 20 Tellus staff and contractors (per swing).
The position offered presents a unique opportunity to apply your logistics or waste management experience in a practical environment, where you would be directly involved in the processing of deliveries of waste, product and general freight to site.
Responsible for supporting the Logistics Officer on site to ensure that all freight deliveries inbound are received, recorded, entered and uploaded accurately and safely as well as ensuring all outbound processes are followed.
Role Requirements Ideally you will have logistics or waste management experience. Good computer skills, including using spreadsheets and accurate data entry.
You must also hold a current WA C Class Driver's License (automatic only OK), as on-site driving is a necessary part of the role.
The final essential requirement is a hunger for continual learning and the need and skill to problem solve and work in a team that is innovative in how they assess, immobilise and store hazardous materials.
The tasks involved in the role support the Logistics Officer in the following:
Processing of deliveries to and dispatches (backloads) off site, from beginning to end including checking on:Required paperwork against consignment content.Correct labelling of goods delivered and despatched.Delivery vehicle inspections.Delivery data entry requirements.Checking and maintaining all container assets.Accurate and timely weighing of all waste receivals.Completion of required exit paperwork (con notes, DG Paperwork etc.).Ensure any containers dispatched are in a safe and clean condition prior to dispatch.Ordering of logistics materials required onsite.Supervision of all site delivery personnel to site, including completion of required visitor induction processes.Coordination of unloading and checking process with Facility Manager/Production Supervisor/Lab Manager.Container dispatch requirements organised through daily liaison with Perth logistics team.Support the Logistics team with offsite Logistics Projects when required.Support Site Admin when increased levels of project demand require it, including flight and accommodation bookings and relevant purchase order raising.Cover Site Admin role for planned and unplanned absences.Undertakes all other related duties appropriate to the position, as directed by the position's reporting manager.If you would like further information on the role or who Tellus is, please contact us via email.
