Role: The Stores Assistant reports to the Logistics Project Leader and is a member of the Election Operations Division The Stores Assistant will perform a range of duties as directed by Logistics Project Leader and provide support in the delivery of the SGE2025 (State Government Elections 2025) The role will be based at the WA Electoral Commission's warehouse @ 14 Brown St East Perth and will also work at the WAEC Processing Centre.
Pay Rate : $31.23 Tenure: Monday 02nd December 2024 - 28th February 2025 Hours of Work: 07:30am - 3:00pm Location of Work: Warehouse; 14 Brown St East Perth & Processing Centre; 30 Beaufort St, Northbridge Responsibility: * Meet LGE 2025 election timeline * Meet LGE 2025 program requirements and delivery schedules * Compliance with WAEC Occupational Safety and Health Policy in relation to materials handling equipment, staff induction, and general workplace safety.
Tasks / Stages * Preparation / Distribution - of ICT equipment and materials - Follow instructions from ICT Project Assistant - Pack assembly - Assist with labelling of packs - General stores duties.
* Ballot box Distribution (Midweek & Election day) - assist with distribution ballot boxes - Follow instructions from Logistics Project Assistant - Including the following tasks, ? Box assembly / supply ? Packing of ballot boxes ? Assist with loading courier vehicles as required.
* Post-election Breakdown / RoM - PC location - assist with breakdown of materials - Follow instructions from Logistics Project Assistant - Assist with the breakdown of equipment - Assist with repacking of materials - Palletise equipment and materials in prep for return to Stores - Assist with loading courier vehicles as required - Courier duties, as required * Return of Materials - Stores location - assist with breakdown of materials - Receive equipment and materials from RO's / PC locations - Sort and stow returned equipment and materials, as instructed - Repacking / labelling of council election materials, in readiness for return to Councils - Courier duties, as required - General stores duties.Provide written feedback to PL, at end of tenure.
