Job Description Job Description  Due to an internal promotion, we are on the lookout for a logistics minded manager to oversee our dry cross dock warehouse facilities in Forrestfield, Perth. This role is fast-paced with ever changing competing priorities - as is the nature of the logistics space! This is a fantastic opportunity to make your mark on a national logistics provider with a focus on building your team's capabilities and skills, succession planning and upcoming leader development, customer service, and continuous improvement.
Reporting to the Operations Manager (Dry), our Logistics Manager's are responsible for:
Overseeing operations across our four dry cross dock warehouses across day and afternoon shifts.  Leading the Logistics Team Leaders through clear goals and the daily operational plans, empowering them to equally lead their own teams. Provide coaching, guidance and mentoring to the Logistics Team Leaders, to assist in their own leadership development. Participate in the strategic planning and management of the Dry Logistics Division, with a focus on safety, customer service and continuous improvement.  Provide guidance and oversight to the Logistics Warehouse teams, to ensure agreed KPI's in Safety, Efficiency, Quality and customer service are communicated, and followed.  Holding your team accountable through celebrating the wins, and investigating concerns. Employee management with a focus on future proofing the business and succession planning to developing the new leaders of tomorrow. Inventory control in line with agreed standards, evidenced through audited reports including Warehouse space utilisation Asset Management to maximise ROI. Responsible for site security Effective management of relationships both internally and externally. Desired Skills and Experience The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
Previous experience in managing warehouse or cross-dock facilities, preferably in a FMCG environment. People management and leadership skills through experience in previous leadership positions Strong communication and interpersonal skills High level of organisational and time management skills Computer literacy including MS Office suite. Excellent understanding of warehousing systems such as WMS and SAP. Analytical skills suitable for this position. Formal qualifications in Logistics, Supply Chain or Business management. Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role within the logistics/warehouse/supply chain space.
