Job Description - Logistics Lead (261986)We're changing the way Australia generates its energy, are you ready for a change?The ProjectUGL and CPB Contractors have been awarded the early works contract to support Powerlink's delivery of CopperString 2032. This $5 billion iconic project will initially be approximately 840 kilometres of new transmission line running from just south of Townsville to Mount Isa that will connect Queensland's North-West Minerals Province to the national electricity grid.The project scope includes:500 kilovolt (kV) transmission line from just south of Townsville to Hughenden330kV transmission line from Hughenden to Cloncurry220kV transmission line from Cloncurry to Mount Isaup to six new substation sites.This exciting project has commenced, and we are currently looking for an experienced Logistics Lead with 3-5 years experience to join the team. The role will be based in Bowen Hills, Brisbane initially and will transition to site on a 15/6 FIFO roster.Working with guidance from the Logistics Manager, the Logistics Lead is responsible for managing logistics operations for projects in the Townsville to Mount Isa region, ensuring high-quality service delivery to construction and field teams. You will also be responsible for promoting safety, quality assurance, and effective communication to achieve safe and efficient project logistics.What will a day in this role look like:Oversee logistics performance, yard safety, and compliance with HVNL, Chain of Responsibility, and Management Plans.Ensure timely and high-quality execution of jobs to meet the expectations of stakeholders, including the Logistics Manager, Project Manager, and client.Continuously monitor, evaluate, and update site-specific systems and procedures to align with best practices.Maintain and promote a safe working environment by implementing and monitoring safety programs and contributing to safe working procedures.Liaise with site contacts and project personnel, providing updates, reports, and records to the Logistics Manager.The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don't tick all the boxes you could still be a perfect fit for this role.
